Amy Nichole Scarberry,17, of New Boston, passed away on May 2, 2025, Born on June 8, 2007 to Jonathon Scarberry and Amanda (Stiltner) Scarberry, in Portsmouth, Amy was a vibrant spirit who filled the lives of those around her with laughter and love.
A senior at Glenwood High School in New Boston, Amy was an artist with a passion for painting, expressing herself through her creative endeavors. Her sense of humor was infectious; she had a unique ability to make anyone laugh, and her contagious laughter brought joy to all who knew her.
Amy had a deep love for her family and cherished her time spent with her nephews and cousins. She formed close bonds with her relatives, including her brother, Jonathon Scarberry of Portsmouth, and her sisters, Lacie Swim of Portsmouth and Alexis Evans (Jarrod) of Columbus. She also had a special connection with her special granny, Tami Elliot.
Her family included cousins Ciji Thompson, Haley Cremeans, Kaitlyn Stiltner, Jennifer Phillips, Chance Thompson, and Matthew and Mackie Kingery, along with many other cousins. Also cherished was her uncle, Butch Stiltner and her aunts, Susan Thompson and Ruby Kingery. and her nephew Bruce Wayne Joe Caldwell. Amy’s warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her.
Amy was preceded in death by two sisters, Ashley Swim and Aliasa Scarberry; and her grandpa and grandma, Stanley and Marilyn Stiltner, and
In addition to her love for family, Amy was also known for her affection for her cat, Leo, who was a constant source of companionship and comfort in her life.
Amy will be remembered not just for the laughter she shared but also for her artistic talents and the love she extended to her family and friends. Her legacy of joy and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her bright spirit.
