Christopher Newman Seagraves, born June 4, 1989, was a beloved son, husband, nephew, cousin, grandson, godson, brother, and friend whose life touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Christopher was born to Rhonda Newman Seagraves and Chris Seagraves. From the very beginning, Christopher was a fighter. Born prematurely and weighing only 2.8 pounds, he faced challenges from his very first days of life. But that tiny baby fought his way into this world and continued to fight through life's challenges. His strength and determination were a part of him from the very beginning.

Christopher loved his family deeply and cherished the people closest to him. He leaves behind his loving wife, Teraria Seagraves; his parents, Rhonda Newman Seagraves and Chris Seagraves; his aunt, Kathy Newman; his godmother, Rhoda Whisman; his god-grandmother, Junie Whisman; his three beloved cousins, Sammy, Jaxon, and Reagan Newman; Carrie and Bailey Bennet; his paternal grandparents, Lonnie (Gail) Seagraves and Patricia Seagraves; his uncles, Jason (Elisha) Seagraves and Shannon (Beverly) Seagraves; his paternal aunt, Valerie Wellman; and his maternal aunt, Sharon Lee, and Ray and Sylvia Eshem.

Christopher was especially close to his cousins Dave Newman, Robin Bentley, Beth Bentley, and JR Liles. They were not simply cousins to Christopher; they were some of the people he was extremely close to and shared a special bond with throughout his life. The memories, laughter, and experiences they shared will be treasured forever.

Christopher also leaves behind his cherished friends from the darts league, Larry Fitzgerald, Dustin Martin, Melody Martin, and Philly McCormick. Christopher loved these friends dearly and spent much of his time with them. They were more than just people he played darts with—they were an important part of his life and became like an extended family to him. The friendships, laughter, competition, and memories they shared meant so much to Christopher.

Christopher was a talented woodworker, a skill he learned from his grandfather, Ronald A. Newman. His grandfather passed down to him not only the knowledge and craftsmanship of woodworking, but a skill that Christopher carried with him throughout his life. Christopher took great pride in working with his hands and creating things, carrying with him a special connection to his grandfather through the craft they shared.

Christopher worked for many years at Appalachian Wood Flooring, where he continued to use and develop his woodworking skills. In recent years, he began working alongside his family at Seagraves Body Shop, becoming part of the family business and enjoying the opportunity to work with those he loved.

Christopher enjoyed playing darts in a league and treasured the friendships he made through the sport. He also had a special love for all things penguins and Vikings. These interests were just a few of the things that made Christopher uniquely himself.

More than anything, Christopher loved his family and the people who surrounded him. He created countless memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His family, friends, coworkers, and dart league family will forever remember his laughter, his personality, the good times they shared, and the moments that made Christopher who he was.

Christopher was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Clay Seagraves; his grandfathers, Ronald A. Newman and Jerry Meadows; his grandmother, Phyllis Newman; and his aunt, Samantha Newman.

Christopher leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family and circle of friends who will carry his love with them always. His absence will be felt deeply by his wife, parents, grandparents, godmother, god-grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, dart friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Christopher was loved deeply. His life may not have been long enough for those who loved him, but he left behind a piece of himself in every person whose life he touched.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2026 at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.  Friends will gather from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
