Danny “Tater” Brown, 57, of West Portsmouth went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 13, 2026. He was born January 10, 1969 to the late Albert and Mary (Bloomfield) Brown in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a graduate of Minford High School. Tater loved the Lord and his church. He served as Sunday School Superintendent and trustee at First Christian Holiness Church in New Boston. Tater worked at Vinyl Kraft Windows in the maintenance department. He loved his family and taking golf cart rides with his wife on the weekends.

Tater is survived by his wife, Christine (Jordan) Brown; his children, Mary Brown of Wheelersburg, Luke Guth of Arizona, Amber Brown of Kitts Hill; two stepdaughters, Amanda (Keith) Spencer of West Portsmouth and Tiffany (Jason) Carver of West Portsmouth; and a stepson, CJ Bussey of West Portsmouth; he is also survived by several grandchildren; two brothers, Mike (Thelma) Brown of West Portsmouth and Pat (Ginny) Brown of Carrollton, VA; a sister-in-law, Laura Brown.

In addition to his parents Tater was preceded in death by a son, Nathaniel Brown; two brothers, Jimmy Ray Brown and Mark Allen Brown.

Funeral services will be held on Friday April 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Lorenzo Bentley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
