A devoted mother, Donna raised three children—Audrey, Jeff, and Chad—with unwavering strength and dedication, showcasing her resilience and commitment to family. Her proudest accomplishments extended beyond motherhood; she was an exceptionally loving grandmother to Julian, Jaylynn, Isaiah, Laynah, and Mazie, infusing their lives with creativity and a shared love for cooking. Whether it was during a holiday gathering or an ordinary day, she cherished every moment spent with her daughters and granddaughters including Arianna Sissel, finding fulfillment in the simple joys of shared meals and cherished memories.

Donna's love transcended the confines of her immediate family. She enveloped friends and community in her nurturing spirit, embodying compassion and empathy to an extraordinary degree. Her life was marked by enduring connections with her father, Thomas Sissel, her sister, Elizabeth Lewis, and treasured nieces and nephew—Maggie Castle and Robert Rawlins, along with Misty Robinson. Close friends like Melissa Smith were not just acquaintances but part of the family she chose, enhancing the rich tapestry of her life.

As families often interweave with joy and sorrow, we remember those who have passed before her, including her grandparents, Carol Virgil Sissel and Nellie Louise Shirey Sissel, her mother, Carolyn Sue Byers, and her son, Chad Sissel. They, too, contributed to the core of the person Donna became—a deeply compassionate soul who adored her family and friends wholeheartedly.
