Dorothy “Dottie” Wiley

Age 67 of Portsmouth passed away peacefully Tuesday June 16, 2026, at OSU Hospice in Columbus. She was born July 12, 1957, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Joyce Wiley. Dottie dedicated many years of service as a Deputy Clerk for the Portsmouth Municipal Court. She enjoyed shopping, going out to dinner with friends, spending time with family, and attending the sporting events and activities of her great-nieces.

She is survived by one brother, Kenneth (Kenny) Wiley of New Boston, two nieces, Kendra (Josh) Holbrook of New Boston and Kayla Wiley of New Boston; three great nieces, Rilyn and Kensley Holbrook, and Taylah Caldwell, and one great nephew, Tyler Caldwell; she was preceded in death by a great niece, Raegan Holbrook.

While Dottie never had children of her own, she helped raise and care for her nieces, Kendra and Kayla, loving them as her own and supporting them throughout their lives. Dottie was a wonderful sister and loved dearly by her brother, Kenny. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

In keeping with Dottie's wishes and her private nature, the family will hold a small, intimate ceremony to celebrate her life under the direction of SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Bostoh. The family appreciates the understanding, love, prayers, and support shown by friends, OSU Hospice, Portsmouth Municipal Court, and the community.
