Fern McQuithy

Fern McQuithy, age 88 of New Boston went to be with her Lord on Thursday October 23, 2025 at Portsmouth Health and Rehab. Fern was born in Scioto County to the late Charles and Fannie King. She was a devoted Christian attending Truth Tabernacle Church in Wheelersburg.

She retired from BG’s Blackburn’s Market.

She is survived by her children; Rocky, Brenda, Barry (Sheila), Kevin (Demeen) and Beth (Brian). 11 grandchildren; Mica (Frank), Jared (Tandy), Megan, Devin, Keelee, Logan, Isabella, Kyle, Tyler, Logan Wade, and Lacey, and 16 great-grandchildren and one sister, Sharon Burns.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Gayle Cyrus, her brothers; Ernest, Garrett, Jim and Earl and her sisters Ruth, Charlene, Gladys, Juanita, and Nancy.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday October 28, 2025 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston, Ohio. Funeral service will take place at Truth Tabernacle Church 7601 Ohio River Road, Wheelersburg, Ohio, Wednesday October 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM with one hour visitation prior to the funeral service. Pastor Brian Sisler will be officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.
