James Crabtree

James E. "Jimmy" Crabtree, 49, of Portsmouth died Monday Feb. 3, 2014 at SOMC emergency room. He was born Jan. 5, 1965 in Portsmouth a son of the late Thomas and Linda Crabtree. Jimmy was a recycler, an avid fisherman and 3 wheel bike rider. He is survived by his longtime companion, Joann Marcum; 4 stepsons, Dustin Dotson, Devin Dotson and Christopher Dotson all of Portsmouth and Eugene Dotson of Florida; 2 step-daughters, Sabrina Dotson and Sharon Dotson both of Portsmouth; 4 brothers, Mike Crabtree, Freddie Crabtree, Thomas Crabtree and Clifford Biggs; a step-brother, Richard Crabtree; 4 sisters, Loretta Barnett, Tammy Justice, Linda Pennington and Martha Crabtree; 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday Feb. 7, 2014 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor David Malone officiating. Private burial will be at a later date.
