Judy Ann Sexton

Judy Ann Sexton, 69, of Wheelersburg, was born on June 4, 1956, in Portsmouth, Ohio. She departed this life on February 4, 2026, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

Throughout her career, Judy worked at various grocery stores in the area including, Blackburns in New Boston, Evans Corner Market in Clarktown, and retired from Deemers in Wheelersburg.

Judy was a good-hearted and loving person who cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her passion for cooking and baking often brought joy to those around her, while her loyal companion, her dog Lady, provided her with comfort and companionship. Judy was a member of North Moreland Christian Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry Ray Sexton; her sons, Michael Barrett and James Barrett (Rachel), both of Wheelersburg; and a bonus son, Brandon Lindamood of Wheelersburg;  and Rick Jenkins of Portsmouth; grandchildren, Milo Sexton, Megan Carver and Robert Carver; brothers, Richard Howard (Sherry) and Ronnie Howard, both of Myrtle Beach, SC; special niece, Polly Price (Dave) of Portsmouth, and her sister-in-law, Dianna Doughty (Joe) of Wheelersburg.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Carrie Maynard ; her son, Jason Sexton; and her sister, Sue Seeley.

Visitation will be held on February 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
