Lee Roy Brown

Lee Roy Brown, 66, of Franklin Furnace,  born on September 8, 1959, in Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2026. He  spent his working years dedicated to the roofing and sheet metal industry.

Lee Roy  deeply valued the time spent with family and friends,  his interests included traveling to new places and listening to music.

He is survived by his daughters: Bobbie Burchett (JJ Spencer) of Otway, Marie Evans (Matt) of Jackson, Cara Hern (Acea) of Gorhman, NH, and Cassaundra Gray (Billy) of Joelton, TN. Lee Roy also leaves behind his brother, James Brown of Columbus, and sister, Barbara Brown (Travis) of Louisa, KY. He was a proud grandfather to Austin, Rylee, Cynthia, Keyan, Kailan, Serenity, with twins on the way. His family circle included his brother-in-law, Ronald (Satch) Hoover and Mary Hoover and family; sister-in-law, Rhonda and Donald Jordan; and a special cousin, George (June Bug) Munion and family of Ironton. Lee Roy also had many friends, including his good friend, Johnny Ackison, who will miss him dearly.

Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Bertha (Horner) Brown; his  wife, Angie Brown; brothers, David Brown, Junior Erwin, and John Erwin; as well as sisters, Rita Huff, Debbie Brown, Judy Martin, Jewel Erwin, and Elizabeth Ann Allen.

A visitation will be held on January 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, both at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME IN New Boston with Pastor Ruth McGlone officiating.  Interment will follow at Universal Cemetery in Rubyville.
