Marilyn Kay (Smith) Mills, 76, a longtime resident of New Boston, passed November 8th, after a short-term bout with cancer at the Hospice Community Center in Ashland, KY.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, David Mills; son, Michael (Gloria) of South Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Ashely of Louisville, KY, Michael Tyler of Portland, OR; and great-grandson, Baylee Vonderheide.
Born on October 6th in Portsmouth, OH, she was quick-witted, enjoyed movies, crossword puzzles, and artistic expression via sketches, painting, and singing jingles She loved her family, angels, hummingbirds, her dog Chico, and seeing friends at class reunions She was preceded in death by her brother Carl, youngest son Jeff, siblings Freda Roe, Suzie Colegrove, Wayne Horsley, and James “Fakey” Hamilton She was comfortable of her destiny and at peace with her Maker.
A gathering will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Michael Smith speaking at 11:00 All are welcome Online condolences may be shared at www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com
