Mary Ann Waughtel

Mary Ann Waughtel, 57, passed away on September 6, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born on December 3, 1967, in Portsmouth to the late Carl Baker Sr and Beverly (Jordan) Baker.

Mary Ann's favorite past time was playing bingo, however,  More than anything, she adored spending time with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories that they will treasure forever. Her warmth and affection were felt deeply by all who knew her.

Mary Ann is survived by her mother, Beverly (Jordan) Baker; her daughter, Danielle Little of Portsmouth; and her brothers, Carl Ray Baker of Wheelersburg and Brandon Baker of New Boston. Mary Ann also leaves behind three sisters: Carol Bailey (Jeff) of Portsmouth, Sharon Truman of New Boston, and Janet Truman of Wheelersburg. The joy of her life was her seven grandchildren—Landon Lewis, Christopher Lewis, Jeremiah Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Daven Lewis, Raylynn Waughtel, and Rockelle Newman—along with her three great-grandchildren, Izzy Lewis, Jaxson Lewis, and Dylan Lewis.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her father, Carl Baker Sr.; two daughters, Robin Waughtel and Carla Waughtel; and two brothers, Paul Baker and Joseph Baker. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those who carry her memory in their hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2025 at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
