Pauline Akers, 87, of Wheelersburg, formerly of New Boston died Tuesday May 13, 2014 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born Feb. 14, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Ethel Adams Bays. Pauline is survived by a son, Roger Akers of New Boston and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Akers; a daughter, Carolyn Akers; a brother, Don Bays and a sister, Joyce Bays. Services will be 1:00 PM Monday May 19, 2014 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Howard Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be 12 to 1 PM Monday at the funeral home.
