Obituary

Randy Richard Sizemore, 75, of Portsmouth, passed away at home Friday, April 17, 2026.  He was born August 22, 1950 to the late Carl William and Alberta (Bennington) Sizemore.  Randy was an active duty Vietnam army veteran.  He worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation in his civilian years until his retirement.  He was a 1968 Graduate of Glenwood High School in New Boston.  Randy was a member of several civic organizations including:  The American Legion Post 23; Voiture Local #443 Scioto County; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3638; Portsmouth Elks; Aurora Lodge 48 of Free and Accepted Mason of Ohio; El Hasa Shriners of Ashland, KY; Portsmouth Shrine Club; Elks Country Club, McDermott, Ohio and Volunteer American Legion Honor Guard Funeral Detail.

Randy is survived by his sisters, Wanda (Henry) Cheli, Debbie (Joseph) Roe, Patty Williams and Madaline Taulbee; several nieces and nephews; He leaves one daughter, Lyndsey (Seth) Meyers of Wheelersburg and twoj grand children.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Brian Baer officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth where graveside military honors will be presented by the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion.  Friends may call on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
