Ronald Eugene Buckley Jr., 65, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on March 15, 2026. He was born October 3, 1960, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Jacqueline Buckley and Ronald Eugene Buckley Sr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Eugene Buckley Sr.

Ronald is survived by his loving mother, Jacqueline Buckley; his brother, Jeff (Donna) Buckley of West Portsmouth; his two daughters, Rhonda (Cody) Leach of Portsmouth and Dasha Buckley (Dustin Appling) of Wheelersburg; and his eight grandchildren, Kaden Leach, Izayah Leach, McKenah Leach, Carter Buckley, Bralynn Appling, Evan Appling, Kasen Appling, and Alyssa Appling, all of whom he was very proud. He is also survived by his nieces, Kelly Buckley, Amanda Buckley, and Kayla (Devon) Risner; and his nephews, Dakota Buckley and Brandon (Jerricka) Buckley.

Ronald worked as an EMS provider with Life Ambulance, where he dedicated himself to helping others in their time of need. He took great pride in serving his community and caring for people during difficult moments.

In his free time, Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing video games, and he was a proud Cleveland Browns fan. He loved to make people laugh and was always joking with others to put a smile on their faces. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family.

Ronald was deeply loved by those who knew him and will always be remembered for his kind heart and the love he had for his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
