Rosemary Bellar, 78, of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born on August 23, 1947 to the late Wilbur and Myrtle (Jackson) Hull in Portsmouth, Ohio. She married the late Gary Lee Bellar on August 20, 1965 they were married for 49 years when he passed away on March 21, 2014. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren passionately. She retired after working for Scioto County for 26 years most of that time was spent at the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.

Surviving Rosemary are three children, one son, Tracy Bellar and wife Pamela of Portsmouth; two daughters, Michele Bellar of Wheelersburg and Melissa Lenhart and husband Troy of Union, Ohio; six grandchildren, Bethanie Crabtree(Joseph), Brooklyn Yeley, Darcy Bellar (Taren Smith), Nicholas Bellar, Tanner Lenhart, and Malia Lenhart; two great grandchildren, Jayce Crabtree, and Jaxon Crabtree. She is also survived by a brother, Kenneth (Eleanor) Hull, sisters in law, Carmen Hull, Paula Hull and Lori Hull; brother in law, Henry Cantrell and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemary was preceded in death by her mother and father in law, Nelson and Milta Bellar, Aunt Anna Earls, a granddaughter Hannah Faith Lenhart, Brothers Tom, Gale, Jim, John, and Wendell Hull; sisters, Patsy Whitt, Retha Cantrell and Jane McCarthy.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at SWICK BENTLEY FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Rick Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
